My current research focus on sociological and musicological practices of music performance in Greece, including audience responses to busking, the reasons behind the thriving tense of busking in Greece, documentation of music aspects and techniques (genre, repertoire, instruments, improvisation), as well as the relationship between buskers and audience.

Street music in Greece is an uncharted territory. We barely know about pitches, active street performers or the way they contribute to the community. So, this is one of the first brave steps aiming to understand the role of busking in the Greek community, map street music performances and advocate a vivid cultural activity in social policy level.
