Paul Watt

Professor of Musicology at the Australian Guild of Music and Adjunct Professor of Musicology at The University of Adelaide.

Paul is a pioneering scholar of street music, having guested edited two special issues on the subject (Journal of Musicological Research 2016 and Nineteenth-Century Music Review 2018) as well as articles in Musicology Australia and chapter for the Routledge Handbook of Street Culture (2020, edited by Jeffrey Ross).

Paul’s other research interests include musical biography, intellectual and religious history, and nineteenth-century music.
