Strand 2: Economics

• Explore the role of local government in valuing and nurturing talent and how economists can assess the role of street performers in contributing to a creative city. 
• Investigate the economic model of exchange between the busker and the audience such as demand, supply, willingness to pay, externalities and free-riders, and investigate busking as a legitimate livelihood model. 
• Employ innovation to assess how both the audiences and the artists make decisions and what is valued by both parties in the exchange.
